What could be better than Vikings?
Unfortunately, we have 21st century characters dressed up in possible Viking outfits. All the characters are tropes. The sensitive intellectual who turns into an all- competent fighter. The beautiful shield maiden who is always wildly available to her man, because he is an intellectual master warrior. The earnest young son, learning perfect lessons from the perfect teacher.
At first, I thought that Earl Haraldson was the "incompetent precinct captain", but it turns out he is Ramsey Bolton, otherwise known as "TWPE" (The Worst Person Ever), with his partner "The Evil Queen."
We turned off this hackneyed bad dialog fest after midway through the second episode.
