There's a lot of moving parts to 'I of the Storm', and the feat here is how all of them are maintained while still laying down seeds for the rest of the season. An oxy bus is hijacked , which ends up pulling the likes of Raylan, Dewey, Boyd and Doyle Bennett into its orbit. It's a crime that leaves ripples across Harlan and threaten to bring the Dixie Mafia sniffing around.
Walton Goggins channels Boyd's inner turmoil while everyone around him casts aspersions on his character. When the situation comes to a head in the final moments, it's a believable result, thanks to his abilities in this role.
Factoring into this packed episode is the Bennett clan, each making his own move; Boyd's fighting his past; and several other side players coming into play. Some of it is hilarious, while the whole thing bristles with energy.
