As soon as this film started, I realized I had (probably) made a huge mistake. The first credit on the screen was "directed by Rob Marshall" and my heart sank. Mr. Marshall has directed some other gay-themed films that have been absolutely awful. This is another one. "Shared Rooms" is a story whose characters intertwine and awkwardly (not to mention unbelievably) tries to connect everything in the end hoping the audience is still there.
If ever you want a good FANTASY movie, this one would be for you. Mr. Marshall would have his audience believe everyone experiences a "Christmas miracle." With this movie, all he has demonstrated to me is that he is completely talentless when it comes to directing and/or writing. There is absolutely no depth to any of his characters. They are clichéd as all hell and none of them have anything of importance to say. He has, however, realized he cannot keep anyone's attention, so there is always graphic nudity to please anyone who's cruising for a quick peek at "danglers."
