Unusual sort of film for Williams
16 October 2016
This is a really strange film to star Ellyn Williams.Nearly all the film's he appeared in were serious dramas. This is a comedy thriller.Williams plays a meek solicitor who is parted from his wife for the first time in seven years. The wife goes to a concert featuring a niece.Williams is supposed to meet a business appointment which is cancelled. He meets a friend who takes him to a nightclub.Williams gets very drunk and passes out.He is carried to a woman's flats.Unfortunately she is involved in a currency smuggling gang. The police are on to the couple who leave the flat before they arrive leaving a very drunk Williams. The police find the currency in the lining of a suitcase. So he is taken off to the police station. He awakes sober in the morning. His friend has been arrested for being drunk and is able to corroborate Williams story.Williams dashes back to their hotel before his wife gets back. This is really a Rockefeller.Difficult to understand Williams participation, maybe he had some bills to pay.Comedy is not really his forte.
