Wonderful documentary going deep into the heart of Tibetan Buddhism
2 October 2016
Very well made documentary showing the life of Hannah Nydahl, a student of the 16. Karmapa and wife to the Buddhist teacher Lama Ole Nydahl. Definitely a must watch for all interested in the period after Buddhism got nearly extinguished in the Tibetan mountains. The devotion of Hannah and her husband moved mountains and helped Vajrayana Buddhism to survive the genocide the Chinese brought over Tibet.

Hannah Nydahl was one of the few Westerners who at the time of Flower Power could recognize the vast values and qualities of Buddhist practice beyond all exotica. Her activity to give a broad audience the access to the Tantric teachings of Buddhism is touching and really inspiring. The documentary wins with its authentic protagonists and the historical footage of Buddhism spreading from the Himalayas to the West.
