Never could understand why Luke never told Jeremy about the woman
1 August 2016
This episode begins in a hotel room where Mr Pike rushes in to confront Deuce Stone about a land bribe that he gave to purchase railroad land. Mr Pike has been made aware that Deuce Stone is a con-artist and he wants his money returned. A gunfight breaks out and Mr Pike is killed. Deuce Stone escapes and wants to head to Canada to avoid prosecution.

Meanwhile, Luke is carrying two female passengers out west. One woman is known as Philpotts while the other is Felicia Sparks. At the midway stop on the trail, Zeke tells Luke that Ms Sparks use to work with Deuce Stone and may have killed and swindled people out of tons of money. When a young man, Jeremy Boone, catches the stage at the midway post- he kind of falls for the older Ms Sparks and lets it slip that he has money.

When they enter the next town, Jeremy is set on buying some land and wants to settle down. He has his mind set on settling down with Ms Sparks. But when Deuce Stone arrives in town, they couple may be up to their old tricks.

Ben Cooper gave an excellent performance as the young Jeremy which made the show much more enjoyable. The way he played the quick tempered naive young man gave a nice simplicity to the entire broadcast. The thing that struck me strange is that Luke was warned about the Sparks woman very early in the show. However, he never got around to telling Jeremy, which was odd since Jeremy was seeing the woman. This could have been critical need-to-know information and was frustrating to the viewer. Even with this flaw, this episode played well and let us feeling strangely uncomfortable with the final scene of the show. Made for a nice watch.
