Metro Review : A gritty, hard hitting action film
18 July 2016
Movie : Metro

Rating : 4/5

Who says new guys haven't any idea of acting at all? After all, there are new actors who prove themselves with their skills. Actor Shirish must be happy because he has managed to prove himself successfully through his debut action film METRO, a hard hitting film that is a must watch for the youth.

METRO is an example of how a filmmaker can represent the evil happenings of the society without using excessive expletives and vulgarity. Director Anandakrishnan is bound to be praised for bringing up the issue of chain snatching to light in a realistic way. The film is made in a way that one hardly gets a chance to blink at all.

Shirish is excellent in his debut film. He needs no other remark at all. Since apart from a few actors the entire cast is new, I don't remember the names of the actors but will have to say that they did a commendable job (No, not the job they did in the film, their acting). Bobby Simha, oh, sorry to have forgot him! He's a true actor and has proved how seasoned he's through this film. He will make you laugh as well, and do watch out for his punches. And of course, despite being a dark film, there are enough moments to laugh out in the light hearted scenes.

The story and screenplay are both well written and executed. Dialogues are worth noting. Editing is good and the cinematography makes the locations an eye candy. The visual effects are excellent, and so are the action sequences. They are just excellent!

Overall, METRO is yet another hard hitting action film from Kollywood, that is strongly recommended for the awareness it creates. It's a clean entertainer and is recommended for the youth, and rather everyone. Go, watch it!
