Not going to lie, I loved this short series when it first aired away back in 1991, people may see it as aged, I would disagree, it has a timeless charm about it that is still as sweet, innocent and heartfelt today as it was back then. Even now as an almost 35 year old, I still love to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane, and this little story told in song from the boys point of view about his up and down friendship with a hairy black spider always has a moral to the story.
This cartoon will always have a loyal fan base be it old school cult kids whom grew up with it in the late 80s, early 90s, or newer fans seeing it for the first time today.
