Invasion of the sulphur breathing worms!
4 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This episode sees an anomaly open on the fifteenth floor of an office block; it is from a much older era than previously discovered anomaly. The upper floors of the building start to fill with a sulphurous fog… a fog that contains giant worm-like creatures that attack the unfortunate workers. The team turn up to deal with the situation along with Claudia Brown lookalike Jenny Lewis who is more than a little shocked to discover just what her new job involves. Away from this monster Helen Cutter returns to the present and turns up at Stephen's flat after getting injured in the past and Connor has some suspicions about a man he sees working at ARC… he looks suspiciously like the cleaner who was injured by a baby raptor in the previous episode.

This was a fairly solid episode with scary monsters and some great moments. The way the creatures were hidden in the sulphurous fog added to their scariness but not half as much as their lamprey like mouths. There are plenty of exciting moments; highlights being when Nick uses a katana to dispatch one of the creatures that had Connor's head in its mouth and creatures exploding leaving their spawn attempting to burrow into people's bodies. The reappearance of 'The Cleaner' added a sense of mystery that will presumably be returned to throughout the season. It was intriguing to see how different Jenny is to Claudia; whether we learn more about why she is different or if it is just one of those things remains to be seen. There are also some amusing moments that don't feel forced or detract from the main story. Overall a pretty solid episode.
