You either love it or hate it

What a movie. A psychothriller at its best, by the meaning of the word. Keano Reeves plays a loving father and good husband. He has a nice job and a great home.

Everything is turned upside down as two young women knock at his door while the rest of the family is away, seduce him and then pretend that he is a pedophile. As they keep torturing him and destroy more and more of his house and life, it becomes clear that they are deranged, evil psychos.

Nothing that you haven't seen before. The surprise in this movie (and probably the reason why so many people hate it) is the message. The movie gives you the impression that it suggests that Keanu Reeves really was a pedophile, terrible father etc. and that he deserved whatever he got. This is furthermore confirmed by the two psycho-girls getting away with everything they done and the attempt to turn the ending scene into something silly and funny.

This is just wrong. And this kept me from giving the movie more stars. But if you can ignore the questionable morale views of "Knock Knock" and focus on the story, you will find yourself well entertained. The performance of the young women was great. Sick and twisted beyond good and evil. Keanu Reeves was decent for most parts, but he got a bit too whiney towards the end.

Anyway, the amount of tension was enjoyable. You couldn't stop wondering what would happen next and you had a hard time dealing with it too. Some of the scenes were almost disturbing. But in a good way. An interesting flick and recommended for anyone who enjoys psychological thrillers.
