Good material

It's a funny thing with 'Airport' because I remember really liking this episode for the main story line; in which Bill and Dave are snowbound in St. Louis. Cue Bill's raging New York elitism as he's surrounded by good-natured Midwestern folk. This one splits the cast into (mostly) pairs, with Joe and Catherine preparing for a date, and Matthew and Beth tasked with watering Bill's plants. The scenes in the swanky sex pad are solid, and Mr. James' attempts to stop the date work in the context of this particular show . . .

. . . but it's Mr. James' trying to teach the acting boss Lisa a lesson about leadership that really makes this one for me. I guess on one hand, it's a nice little rug pull at the end of the episode, but more than that, Root's cheeky gamesmanship and Tierney's indignation puts a very nice cap on an otherwise good episode.
