With very lengthy gaps between seasons, the problem with many British shows is continuity. A few times with "Doc Martin" that was a problem...with some characters just disappearing from one season to the next. Fortunately, Season 7's first episode shows that just about everything is intact. While you don't see Louisa (but you will later), the usual folks are back and the story line picks up where it left off with the previous season.
In this installment, Martin STILL has not heard from Louisa and he's afraid to call her. He also is in need of a therapist for his MAJOR personality problems...but things keep happening to prevent him from making the appointments. The biggies are a patient who is trying to fake his way past a medical certification...and the urine he gives him is VERY high in HGC...meaning the man is either pregnant or probably has testicular cancer*...and the man's real problem AND the urine donor's need to be addressed asap.
My only complaint is one I have about all the episodes is that I always find the police constable irritatingly stupid...too stupid to be realistic in the least.
