Diamond takes the case because he can't say no to tear-filled blue eyes
16 January 2016
I really enjoyed the writing for this one. There are some great lines, starting with Richard Diamond's description of his client: "Laurie Gates. Age 20. Hair blonde. Eyes blue, tinged with red. Occupation: fiancée of a boy in jail." In addition to great lines, this is, as always, a stylish, noirish show. It has a great black and white look, with lots of nighttime scenes, and a suspenseful score.

An engaged couple is framed for a hit and run accident when their car is stolen from a restaurant. Stolen before the hit and run and replaced afterward. The police buy the story, but Richard Diamond believes otherwise. He finds out what really happened and helps the police with a sting operation. It's a close call when the killers go after Diamond earlier than planned, but all's well in the end.
