They are always so annoying when all the characters are such goody goodies who don't want to do drugs, get all upset over others in the club doing them (how will they ever go to clubs then when they grow up, drugs are done in legal clubs as well). But they needed it to show the dangers of drugs and over drinking.
The story about Emily slipping a drug into Brandon's drink was pretty good. It was good that they made a girl slip it into a guy' drink, a little bit more original. And they showed the consequences of it step by step pretty well.
