Warning: Spoilers
"The Maker" is a 2011 5-minute short film written and directed by Christopher Kezelos. The main character here is a rabbit puppet and he keeps sewing until he has finished a female for himself. The whole animation style tells us already that there is something more than just romance and family to this little movie. It certainly has a bit of a creepy touch to it, even if the female puppet did not turn out evil in the end. But what is the role of the hourglass we keep seeing. This little film needs a bit to become interesting, but near the end it's really good. I wished we could have seen the female rabbit start sewing as well as an ending. Anyway, even without it, I recommend this little movie, especially to those who like their animation a bit darker in terms of style and atmosphere. Good watch and it sucks to see Kezelos hasn't made any movie after this one. He sure has talent and I hope he will get back to making films. Until then, I give this one a thumbs up and hope you go see it.
