"Wir lieben Kino - U-Bahn" is a German 90-second short film from 7 years ago written and directed by Hendrik Hölzemann. He worked with Matthias Schweighöfer before this one already, so it's no surprise the young actor is in here as well. The female lead is played by Rebecca Mosselmann. It basically takes us into the head of her character and how she hopes a man would talk to her in the Berlin subway. And then she compares the situation to what it would look like in a movie. This is when the film goes south and almost turns into an action movies. As always, with Schweighöfer it is zero subtlety and all style, no substance. If I was a young filmmaker, this little movie here would absolutely not motivate or even inspire me. Not recommended.
