Going out to town....

That's what the title means . At the time, the "Office Catholique Du Cinema" forbade the movie to their flock ,because of its (rather crude, admittedly) sexual innuendos ,and of its topless dancers.Much ado about nothing.

For this is a nothing movie, based on a screenplay written by morons : to get money to repair the Church steeple ,a stupid lump,in love with a baroness' daughter, has to go to Paris to find "artists " who would perform for a charity gala .

This is only a pretext to show the Parisian life time to an absolutely half-witted audience.

One can save ,at a pinch,Jean Carmet's portrayal of a stammering priest ,and two short appearances by Louis De Funès as a receptionist.

What's the point of restoring such a dud?
