The half of the episode involving Daniel Jackson and Osiris is a solid 7. But there wasn't enough of that for a whole episode. So they pasted on another half, which was Sam and her relationship with boring Pete, played by David Deluise.
David may be a good director, but he's not a good actor. He has a way of portraying a character and delivering a line that creates absolute disinterest. The relationship between Sam and Pete is best left for far far far off screen. Keep Pete there too.
Meanwhile, Osiris is probing Daniel's dreams for the location of the Ancient's Lost City. That's interesting. Daniel and SG-1 capture Osiris and remove him (the symbiote) from Sarah Gardner.
Other than removing Osiris from the picture, the episode doesn't much further the ongoing Goa'uld plot.
Pete gets involved in the fire fight as they capture Osiris. He's hit by shrapnel or by Osiris' weapon. I rooted for the character to die.
Unfortunately, Pete will return.
Go away Pete!
