Alice's Balloon Race (1926)

There's a balloon race that is paying the winner $10,000 so Alice and her beloved cat Julius join but once there they realize Pete is in it too. The race is off to a fast start when a battle breaks out between Julius and Pete. ALICE'S BALLOON RACE isn't the best in the series and it contains very few laughs but it's still worth viewing thanks to some great animation and a good bit of imagination. I say a good bit of imagination because once the race gets going things are actually very fun and especially when the two rivals enter a thunderstorm and have to deal with various clouds, rain and of course lightning. Fans of the series will enjoy the back and forth battle between the two and there's no doubt that the animation is done to the highest level.
