Just watched this-the first of the Mr. Hook cartoons for the Navy during World War II-on YouTube. This one partly takes place in Anytown, USA, in 1953 with the now-bespectacled Hook character telling his son how he caught a warplane for game on his mantel. So we flashback to when he was a sailor who ends up passing War Bonds leaflets to help defeat a Jap. Because this was made during the time the Japanese were the enemy, I found myself pretty amused when that enemy was depicted at the end as just teeth speaking gibberish! George O'Hanlon-future voice of George Jetson-voices the Hook character. Walter Lantz Studios made it with Shamus Culhane directing. So on that note, Take Heed, Mr. Tojo is worth a look for animation buffs.
