1) a "sex expert" whose job it is to advise people on their sexual problems on the radio is herself so sexually inadequate that her lover's infidelity sends her into some sort of homicidal fugue state? For real?
2) her lover is fooled by a wig and makeup? And a fake hooker name? This episode was painful in its flagrant stupidity, soft-core porn soundtrack and lighting, and overall schmaltz. Were the 80s really this tacky?
Oh yeah, Lindsay Crouse isn't nearly good enough to carry this role. She's not sexy enough for the more prurient content, not self- deprecating enough to spar with Falk on his own ground otherwise. It's not an easy task, I grant, but some "Columbo" costars hold their own. This is as embarrassing a mismatch as this series gets.
