Just another overrated Burton movie.

First of all, let me remember that this is the person who directed Planet of the Apes.

This is the first collaborations between Johnny Depp and Tim Burton and the start of a long friendship. The intro was very cinematic, but the rest of the movie sadly wasn't.

The movie really didn't have a story, it just went on to show how Ed works around a new environment. It has a good but overused moral: Everyone has a special gift, every "disability" becomes an advantage and bla bla bla... we've seen that many times.

I hated the fact that everyone in town was a douchebag except for the family that adopted Ed. The town made the family look like saints. It was really unrealistic. Like where did he get the giant ice blocks? But the stupidest part of the movie was that the cop in his car couldn't catch Edward running.

It started out good, but it ended in clichés.
