It's hard to believe that the same group of people did 12 nearly flawless episodes avoiding all the usual superhero-flick traps and delivering VERY interesting series - and then they spoiled it all by falling into ALL of these traps in the last episode. IMHO they shall apologise to the viewers, re-record it doing it properly this time and destroy all existing copies of the mediocre stuff they delivered in episode 13 ;) Interesting thing is that it's the 3rd time I've seen the closure clearly overwhelming the authors/producers/whoever-is-responsible. Final episode of 2nd season of Dollhouse is a very similar case - although Whedon & co. bounced back with fantastic "bonus" episode, so they can be forgiven ;) Also, final episode of 1st season of True Detective is a little disappointing, but there it might be also a premeditated move stating "hey, it's life, don't place your expectations too high, you finally did it - and so what?" - at least I hope so ;) In case of Daredevil I find no rational explanation for season finale being THAT bad - and I am quite devastated to think that the 2nd season of this previously-fantastic show might continue along the way paved by episode 13... :/
