Chasing Red: It's not the bulls you're running from
24 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This film is beautifully shot and captures the essence of Pamplona; her people, the party atmosphere, the strength of the animals and the controversy that surrounds the Festival of San Fermin. If you have never been, the film takes you there in living color. if you have, it will elicit the memories and excitement of your first time in Pamplona.

It would be easy to romanticize this age of old event, but the director did not apply the Hemingway treatment to this Running of the Bulls. It was much more character driven, vignettes of different people, each running for their own reasons and in their own way. Neither were the bulls relegated to second billing in this movie, they are featured in all their majesty, and the film does not shy away from letting you experience their tragedy.

If you have ever dreamed of Pamplona or wondered why this event is so important to Spaniards, this is a must see movie!
