Murdoch Mysteries: This One Goes to Eleven (2010)
Season 3, Episode 6
Stolen Rembrant painting
25 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Murdoch and Dr Julia Ogden attend an art exhibit.

A large Rembrandt painting with a fat nude woman is admired by many. It is supposedly worth a lot of money. Dr Ogden likes the picture she says it shows all the woman. She is a feminist so I would expect comments like that from her. They seem to focus too long on this fat nude woman.

This picture was stolen and a man killed. They try to figure out how it got out of the building. Murdoch says maybe they cut the picture off the frame but Luca Carducci says no it would lose value. Father Brown has a series of episodes and one is where a thief named Flambeau steals expensive paintings and cuts them out of the frame and that is what some thieves do to get the painting. I guess it is up to the writer about value of a stolen painting.

Luca Carducci has something to do with the art gallery. He has a weird hair style and it seems like he is overacting and has a fake accent.

Murdoch talks to the man that had the painting insured. Murdoch asks to talk to the man's wife and she is by the pool. She is facing the water and is half nude from the back with a scarf like resting on her waist. A man is painting her picture.

Murdoch acts like he is embarrassed but when the woman puts on a robe that still exposes what little she has, you can see his eyes focus on her bust line. He is such a phony.

I stopped watching this episode after that. i don't like scenes with nudity type behavior passed off as mystery
