Groundhog Day is a great movie with a terrific original premise. Having the main character Phil, played by Bill Murray, be a easily unlikable character allows for some great storytelling and character development that you don't get a chance to have in other films. By giving Phil unlimited days to grow and change, while everyone around him will always remains unchanged, only highlights Phil's journey to become a better man that much more. In that journey there is a lot of comedy, with terrific directing from Harold Ramis, and one of Murray's best performances. I love this movie, and no matter how many times I see it I always enjoy it, and it who doesn't love seeing a groundhog driving a pickup truck.
