First of all I'd like to point out that I am into the season "Freak Show" since FX aired the first episode, because of the great potential, which i have seen in nearly every main character. I did really enjoy the storyline with Twisty, who is performed perfectly by John Carroll Lynch, and I personally believe that Ryan Murphy has had a great idea killing this character so soon, inasmuch i had the chance to see how Dandy, one of the best characters in the season, becomes crazier and crazier till we see him dying in the last episode after having killed nearly every "Freak", which is a very powerful scene. Another great point of this season, including the last episode "Curtain Call" is the developing and the performance of every character, like Bette and Dot, who support each other at the end, although Dot wanted to be separated from her in the first half of the season. Besides Sarah Paulson did a great job in playing to different characters at the same time and I would be glad if she would won an Emmy for that. Jessica Lange is also one of the most important things in this entire series. Her character Elsa Mars lives through a big change, because she has had everything she ever wanted, but nevertheless she wanted more and more, till the moment she realizes her faults and decides to kill herself through Edward Mordrake( Ryan Murphy is a genius ). After her death she is reunited with her "Freaks" in a special heaven( I am not if it is a heaven ) for "Freaks", which was one of the most unexpected and great things which could have happened.
Generally many people criticize this season for the lack of horror, but I am convinced that the name "American Horror Story" can also include the real life horror in our society, which I have seen for example in the episode "Orphans" , where Naomi Grossman and Jessica Lange do one of the greatest performances in television.
I personally believe that this is the best season so far( I love the other seasons too ), because "Freak Show" includes Drama, Real Life Horror, a great storyline, awesome performances and characters and a Great Finale to a Great Season!
