Person of Interest (2011–2016)
7/10
Great Idea, Poor Choice for Main Character
27 December 2014
I stopped watching Person of Interest after half of the first season. I couldn't get past Jim Caviezel's attempt at a "tough guy" with a soft-spoken voice. He also seemed sleep-deprived every episode, and imaging a sleep-deprived CIA agent kicking butt just doesn't make sense to me. He needs to be more alert, alive, and adept with his skills - he always seems to get caught or noticed.

However, I do love the idea of the film. It's about a billionaire who hires an ex-CIA agent to prevent crimes from happening - the ones that the government doesn't care about (non-terrorist ones). I think that this show has so much potential, but it's all wasted on the wrong choice for the main character. If they could have found somebody else, then the dynamics of the show would have been completely different and much more entertaining than the slow, dull pace it's currently at.

I give it a 7.
