Ardennes Fury (2014)
2/10
As inspiring as a dead horse

Warning: Spoilers
Hardly ever do I feel the necessity to write a review or comment of any kind on the internet. This movie however makes the exception. It is without doubt the most sad, pathetic, miserable and just god-awful excuse of a movie that has ever been spawned on this planet.

The movie started as if it had already skipped a introduction scene and it didn't even bother to give a chance of catching up. The fight scenes where unrealistic to say the least and featured only the Germans who couldn't have hit a aircraft carrier if they had been standing next to one. The animated fire crackers that were displayed as 'explosions' didn't do the movie any good either.

If you try to set the many, many mistakes that were made in regards to historical correctness(Germans in Russian tanks), realistic special effects( a German head-budding a bomb from an aircraft without getting hurt)and logical fire-fights (standing in the middle of a open field aiming at the enemy who's within arms length: and still missing), one could consider rating the movie on the skills of the actors and the story line. Sadly, the story line was mostly non-existent and the actors were so bad at evoking a sense of passion they couldn't even compete with porn-stars. At rare times a proper emotional moment did turn up(gotta give'em credit for that) but was often ruined within seconds.

Watching this movie is just frustrating if you're into war movies( or you just have the tiniest bit of self-respect, really) because of all the times it just forces emotions into the scene without a proper story, background, build-up or an actor capable of showing believable human expressions. I cannot urge you enough to waste your life on something less regrettable than this movie.

What else is there to say... A guy gets hit in the head with a rifle three times and then they show you a body with a sort of after-birth like mess laying where the head should be: and that sums up the quality of this disturbing collection of images they dare call 'Ardennes fury'.

(please keep in mind: it's a mockbuster movie so if you're into mockbusters then don't take this too heavy, I judged this movie as if it was a serious attempt at a movie and not a mock version of the real fury)
