Was a creative script

In a rather silly episode, the men from PT 73 are set to put on a folly type show for the men on base. But Binghamton puts a stop to the proceedings and tells McHale not to have any type of show on the date planned. But with Binghamton leaving the following day for a conference, all McHale does is move the show to another date.

Binghamton gets wind of the move and then to permanently stop the show he gets McHale and his crew to personally take him to the conference aboard the 73. But when the boat is damaged by an air-raid, the PT boat will have to land, in order to get gasoline, on an island occupied by the enemy. But with the help of some strangely placed kimono robes, the crew of the 73 just may have a shot at the needed gas.

Even though the show was enjoyable and had some funny scenes, it was beyond bizarre that an island just happened to have all the things needed for the 73 crew to dress up like Japanese performers and put on their show. The situation seemed quite odd but the results was good enough to make the show entertaining. This was an interesting way to make a story.
