The Vampire Diaries: Yellow Ledbetter (2014)
Season 6, Episode 2

Everything was in place

Warning: Spoilers
I usually don't write reviews for TV dramas. especially not just after i finished watching it. but i had to. This was probably my most favorite episode in all 5 seasons and 2 episodes so far. it was perfect. The Vampire Diaries usually have at least one absolutely irresistible episode per season. but to have everything in place: it had never happened before.

there's so much happening in this episode. and it must've been really difficult to reveal a mystery step by step about Bonnie and Damon's side, let Elena go backward through her memories to find one single moment, keep every step with Stefan in finding out what a disappointing brother and friend he had been and letting us know Caroline and Jeremy are having just as hard of a time as everybody else; and at the same time, keeping everything contiguous. EVERYTHING was in place. i didn't feel interrupted at any point at all.

i liked the fact that they chose THAT moment for Elena to fall in Love with Damon and Loved that erasing it turned her feelings towards him upside-down.

for me this episode was simple and natural, yet mysterious, beautiful and catchy. if only they'd keep such quality for all episodes, TVD would be more than one of the best shows out there.
