Winter, Hope, and Nicholas need us
11 September 2014
CMA is a wonderful place that does all that they can to rescue, rehabilitate, and release ALL animals that they can. Unfortunately, due to injuries, illness, or other problems, some creatures need our help to continue to survive. The movie, Dolphin Tale 2, will point that our as gently as they can.

Winter would not be alive if if were not for the tireless work done by the many volunteers at CMA. She receives daily physical therapy, using her prosthetic tale to swim in the same manner as a dolphin. There is no way she can be returned into the wild. Hope, though intact, can not be released either. Panama, who is mentioned in the movie, could not be returned, either. She was no longer able to catch food on her own, and had become a "beggar dolphin" - one who approaches humans and boats seeking handouts. How horrid would it have been if, while seeking food, she would have been struck by a boat prop?

Nicholas, the only male dolphin at CMA was horribly sunburned. He can not be returned either. Though it may seem sad to some, is it not better to keep these beautiful creatures safe? look at the website and do research before you judge that this is just a pack of money making "circus animals". www.seewinter.com Watch both movies. Bring a tissue, and prepare to laugh.
