Warning: Spoilers
***SPOILER*** P.I Peter Gunn, Craig Stevens,is asked by his good friend blind newsstand worker Cliffe Thomas, Walter Berke, to hide him out and protect him from escaped from prison hoodlum Al Brenners, Lou Krugman, who together with his sidekick Vic Stringer, John Sabastian, who for reasons nut fully explained have it in for the guy. Gunn in trying to get his client Cliffe out of harms way ends up getting him killed by Brenner's hoods when they track him down to the cheap hotel room he was ,courtesy of Peter Gunn, staying at.

Now with Gunn in the cross-hairs of the Brenners mob he with the help of his policeman friend Let.Jocby played by Herschel "The Bird" Bernardi track down where Brenners is hold up at a sanitarium outside city limits. Gunn as usual screws things up by not waiting for his friend Let. Jocby to show up for back up and ends up being taken hostage by Brenners' hoods and locked up in a padded cell in the sanitarium. It's there were Brenners lets loose this 400 pound what looks like lobotomized gorilla Bruno played by former professional wrestler Tor Johnson, to finish him off.

It at first didn't look good for Peter Gunn with Bruno bouncing him against the padded cell wall like a ping-pong ball but before he could do him in Let. Jocby came to his rescue, with a squad of policemen, and plugged the big guy with an entire load of slugs putting him away for good. Even though Peter Gunn survived his ordeal thanks to his friend Let. Jocoby that his friend he was to protect the blind Cliffe Thomas didn't. As for Brenners who escaped from criminal court with the help of Vic Stringer and ended up killing two cops in the process he's to serve his already 55 years behind bars with a double murder charge added on. Which will shorten his stay behind bars by sending him straight to the electric chair long before his time or sentence is up!
