This show begins with two guys fighting it out in an apartment. The loser of the fight is the serious loser when the other guy then tosses him through the window--landing many floors below to his death. It turns out the dead guy was a private detective and mentor to Joe Mannix and he's determined to find the guilty party. The evidence SEEMS to point to a guy with a shady past, but he might just be innocent--and the guy then hires Mannix to help him locate his alibi.
When the show begins, you might notice that this apartment has been used in several other "Mannix" episodes--including one where a girl was tossed out the OPEN window to her death (talk about a cursed apartment!). That aside, the show was novel and offered several nice twists, lots of action and a nice twist ending--and the final scene with Lt. Tobias (Robert Reed) is priceless! Well worth your time.
