As this episode proves, not all the color episodes were sub par. Off all the newer characters, Howard Sprague came closest to creating the original chemistry that existed between Andy and Barney. The story is character driven which seems to be one of the qualities that fans of "The Andy Griffith Show" find appealing. Millie and Howard abruptly decide to get married and include Andy and Helen as their best man and maid of honor. The ensuing train ride to Millie's homestead in West Virgina for the wedding provides the setting for the deft combination of comedy and drama that was always a hallmark of this series. The subtle scene in the dining car is classic Mayberry.
