The episode in which Mary goes blind is a heart-wrenching, sad episode. It was done so well. It's one of my favorites. I'm sure the episode got high-ratings, but I'm not sure why they decided to travel down that same road again...Even when I was a little girl and watched this episode, I wondered why they had to travel down this road. Were they so pleased with the previous episode that they just had to try again?
I will admit, though, that there are some good points in this episode. Adam's fear of Mary getting her sight back (when indeed, it did happen to Adam later on) give you a glimpse into the person he really is. Mary's admitting that she wanted her sight back for herself was also another good point to this episode. But the whole crying - tell me it's not true - bad news scenes...well...I just didn't feel the hurt for them. They've been down this road and accepted it. Let's just leave it alone!
