Person of Interest: Prisoner's Dilemma (2013)
Season 2, Episode 12
9/10
A different kind of episode

So, we've been used to a certain kind of script throughout one season and a half. And I can't say that's bad. It's like in many other series (House, CSI, etc.) where you have the same beginning, development, climax and then finale in each episode (I mean their construction of course). Person of Interest has been doing it successfully, since you never got tired of that construction, of that precise kind of scripting. But in this one, Nolan pulled a trick out of his hat and made a astonishing deed in this business. He took the attention out of the machine and numbers and focused it on John being in trouble, without direct help...in a prison!! I won't spoil too much, but this was a great episode, maybe the best so far. It was super different, original and got involved several characters from the beginning until now. Plus, John's past has being more and more uncovered and it's good for the show. The same goes for Harold.

This show had already presented us with 3 main antagonists: Elias, Root and Wesley. This episode gave us one more which could be even more important than the last two mentioned: John's former partner, Kara.

An unexpected finale with a great 43' enjoyment. Because of this episode I elevated the show rating from 7 to 8.
