Besides his wonderful letter about his struggle to find the purpose of life, his one quote should be a standard American motto... "When you have freedom, you must defend it!" Truer words were never spoken. God blessed this man, and blessed our lives with this special man. And "Holes in My Shoes" will bring blessings to the viewer in so many ways! Congratulations to David Wachs, and THANKS to him for capturing for posterity the man, Jack Beers! Jack Beers is a life force in and of himself. His life is the life of America in the 20th Century, helping to build New York City AND America in a critical time in our history. There are far too few "Jack Beers" and there should be more. We are a great nation for the likes of him, and we would be even greater if there were more like him.
