Hawaii Five-O: Angel in Blue (1978)
Season 10, Episode 18
7/10
Despite one HUGE logical error, a pretty good undercover episode.

Carol Lynley stars in this episode of "Hawaii Five-O" and it turns out to be a lot better than the previous show, "Tall on the Wave".

The show begins with a body discovered floating off shore. It seems that an undercover cop was identified and liquidated. Now McGarrett wants to once again infiltrate this gang and bring the murderer and these drug dealers to justice. However, they need a cop who is not known on Oahu, so he recruits a police woman from Maui (Lynley). She poses as a shady woman and manages to become very friendly with one of the more decent members of this drug operation. Although he eventually discovers who she is, he agrees to help her in her work as he's only cooperated so far with the big bad boss-man (Vic Tayback) because he's had no choice.

While the show has done quite a few undercover episodes as well as some involving females cops, this one is a bit better. I think some of it is because Lynley and her boyfriend on the show have some nice moments together. I only had one complaint, and it's a frequent cliché in cop shows--when she and her boyfriend overpower the assassin and deck him, they DON'T pick up the gun that falls to the floor. Who would do this?! I would have not only picked it up but blasted the jerk. I hate logical errors in TV shows--and this is a big one.
