Always given a role that was slapstick, it is refreshing to see Vadivelu in an acting role that requires him to do more than just get soundly trashed. His first project as a hero is certainly worth watching. He does not have typical characteristics of a "hero" but that does not deteriorate the movie. Rather, he does justice to his roles. The supporting casts are good as well. Each have a purpose that enhance the story.

The dialogues are the highlight of the film and the comedy is a mix of both written and body language. The editing was great, because the movie did not lag as most historical dramas tend to.
