Lynley and Havers are called in when the body of a Jordanian man is found frozen in a meat truck. Originally it seems like human trafficking; the man has a phony British passport, and the crime fits a past smuggling crime. But according to the autopsy, the man was strangled, and he has a page from the Golden Koran, which is very valuable.
The case becomes one of not only murder, but tracking down this valuable Koran, which will lead them to the killer.
