Doug plans a surprise trip to the mountains with Carrie, thinking it's a place they have been to before. Things go wrong immediately when Carrie learns it wasn't HER that came to the mountains with Doug, so she has a bad attitude, setting a bad tone for the remainder of the weekend. They encounter an unexpected mishap and overcoming the obstacle is trying and hilarious. Meanwhile, Spence and Danny are house sitting and "watching" Arthur while Doug and Carrie are away. These two are always fun because they have this subtext of being a couple and many of their actions and conversations are those that would typically occur between married couples. Deacon walks in on a conversation the two of them are having and their reactions are that of a couple, in THEIR home and THEIR bedroom, who happened to be interrupted mid fight. Doug is classically funny and this episode gets plenty of laughs.
