Just a big no for me
1 June 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I had had high hopes because it starts out with a lot of action. Unfortunately, the characters spiral into madness faster than the Star Wars Holiday special spiraled into stupidity. At first there was hope that the cliché bad-ass would turn around and become a decent person, but no. The clichés stick and each character just becomes more sick, twisted and demented in what seemed to be a minimal amount of time. The lead character, Eva, had nothing that anyone could connect to, and was pretty much eye-candy for the camera... and not by much. This was just a huge no for me, mostly because I had so many unanswered questions, and the characters had lost any possible depth (except for Michael Biehn's character) way too swiftly. After a big blowout that kills the two bad-asses, Eva leaves the final two survivors to burn alive, which didn't seem to fit her character. Then again, nothing seemed to fit her character. She was a great big blah of nothing the whole time.
