A delightful family movie (based on a true story), Red Dog is worth a ticket. In a non pretentious way--it simply WORKS !! All the elements required to make an exceptional family movie....are here. An engaging story...a cast who clearly enjoyed making this...and a director who followed his instincts. Rather than go to see a "normal" family movie ... take the kids to see this. They will love it. Sure they wont see lots of CGI or ridiculous Hollywood stunts...they wont even here the word "awesome"... ...What they will get is good entertainment. That was the primary reason why people used to go to the movies. Red Dog rocks...in a wholesome way.
