I really enjoyed this film. The production qualities, for what I assume is a low budget film are superb. As good as anything you'd expect to see on the screen. The central performances are uniformly excellent and create an interesting tension between choosing between compassion or choosing to follow the rules. It raises some serious issues or moral conundrums, that stay with the viewer afterwards but doesn't get 'preachy' or sacrifice a good story to do it.
Loved it! Clear plotting and message, rich sub-text, great noirish atmosphere, well written, directed and acted. No scene is wasted in such a short film, yet depth of character for all three principle characters is achieved. If I had 5 thumbs, I'd stick them all up! Unfortunately I only have 3, so that'll have to do.
