Whitney, I know you're reading this, so listen. You are too hot, and I know you are smart and funny, but I hate to say the basic premise of the show just doesn't work. Yeah there are some genuine laughs, and the dialogue sounds intelligent, but it is as if the world of "Whitney" is inhabited entirely by Chandler-clones (from Friends)...and what could be more annoying than that?? The humor also borrows too heavily from that show,which I thought stopped being funny after 2 seasons. While I like the dynamics and competition between you and the boyfriend character, it is sometimes taken to a level that is insulting to the viewer's intelligence. The friends on the show are kinda wooden too and so I can take 'em or leave 'em but I'm sure they can be tweaked as needed. Yeah, I'm a perv too (Howard fan), and so I appreciate the irreverence & double-entendres, and I can't get enough of you in skimpy outfits, but that's not going to be enough to keep the rest of America watching.
