30 Rock: Respawn (2011)
Season 5, Episode 23
8/10
Not at all wool

Warning: Spoilers
By which I mean, not at all normal. Giving attention to Jenna's relationship with her Jenna impersonator boyfriend is just one way this episode marks a crazy end for 30 Rock's fifth season. The "sitting" joke was the most hilarious part (apparently it has support in Eastern cultures, and the actor for the sitter was perfect) but the wool song Jenna sings to a sheep deserves mention also. I am very glad Jenna is still in this relationship. Meanwhile, Jack seeks out Kenneth as a replacement for Avery after she is captured by North Korea. I imagine Avery will be back next season, though the 100th episode hinted she has an unusual fate.

The Liz plot line isn't quite so much fun as Jenna's; we see her during the summer still having to put up with Tracy. However, seeing her in court insulting her judge was delightful- and proof Liz can be crazy, too. The lesson one may take from all this is that some people cannot help being weird- and anyway, normal is overrated.

Although last year I leaned more towards Modern Family, this year I think my preference is 30 Rock. It's been a good season.
