It's a sordid story of human trafficking, using young women for sex, slavery and killing them to body parts. Yeah, pretty sleazy stuff but it's an interesting story. Most CSI episodes are.
The leader of the Las Vegas CSI, "Dr. Ray Langston" (Laurence Fighburne) is shown to be a very dedicated and compassionate guy who does everything he can to keep his promise to a mother about finding her daughter, "Madeline Briggs." The man wound up in all three CSI cities, trying to track down Ms. Briggs.
I won't say what happens in the end, but it's dramatic.
