I'm not a writer, but I know what I like when I see a film. I want to be entertained, I want to check out and think of better times just for a hour or so and escape reality. This film made me remember times of the 50's and 60's. Though this film payed attention to those times in 50's.
This is wonderful inspiring film did all that and more. I love hot rods and the importance of those car clubs in my high schools days.
Those races that were held on those back country roads of the past I experienced in my youth as a teenager. Those races were important part of the of my life in Kern County. It made me remember back in the day.
The story, the music, the hot rods, and the acting brought me back to those days. It made me smile, and brought tears to my eyes.
It was a gentle step back into the past. It was a love story, and what's more important than love and fast cars... especially hot rods.
