Thankfully, the relationship disasters of the previous episode are more or less recovered from here. There's a wonderful innocence about Ric and Matilda's relationship here, which results in Beth's "earth mother" image taken a battering as she opposes them in a rather blinkered manner. It's nice that Ric is able to see her side and suggest a compromise but Matilda's commitment to him is good to see as well.
Meanwhile, Matilda realises that she's thrown a spanner in the middle of Belle and Lucas' relationship and fesses up to him.A little talk from Cassie helps Belle recognise she's made a mistake and accept Lucas' olive branch, perhaps realising how much he really cares about her.All seems plain sailing...until the sudden and welcome return of an old face.
